Mine was at Town Meeting the summer after I graduated High School to vote for the building of a new High School in my town. I went to a Private school, but still went down to vote for my friends that were still going to my town's High School.

Clinton Gore 96..had next to no knowledge about politics or process. Just knew Clinton was a good guy and Dole was Dole

My first presidential election was Carter-Reagan in 1980. I voted Carter - Duh! I voted in 1979 local elections, but I was away at college, voting absentee for the first time and I didn't really know ANY of the local issues, so I voted as my father - whose outlook always aligned with me - recommended. And save presidential races, I did the same (vote my Dad's ticket) through 1982. From 1983 on, I've made up my own mind.
