Greetings!
Given the lack of discussion over the last week, I'm going to go with the assumption that nobody has any new suggestions.
I've NOT included my first suggestions (The Voter Suppression Project) as nobody else chimed in as liking it, and I like my OTHER suggestion far more, so I doubt anyone would vote for it!
I've set the poll so that everybody can pick the two they most prefer. Should things be close, then we can follow up with a single vote runoff.
Hope this works!
Steve

who voted multiple times??? Did you read the first post just under the poll? I set the poll to allow two votes per person!

I hate to make a nitpicking issue of the voting methodology, Steve.
Making folks vote their two best choices seems to skew the polling here.
2 of 4 are similar.
Make it one vote each, and all ideas from the various threads should be included. Then a run off if none gets a majority. Two choices to face off.

GF,
I chose the "Each person gets two votes" option mostly out of surprise that it was offered! And I did so without thinking through the consequences. At this point, enough people have cast two votes that I can't take it back.
And I thought I had included all the various options that were put forward, save for the first suggestion of mine that drew no support in comments AND that I myself no longer support!
Given both the possible confusion and the current vote counts, I expect that there will be a runoff between the top two.

balancing the meting out of enough time to discuss and / or vote with the need to move expeditiously is a challenge. no permanent harm done, though I think we are showing a preference for "every vote" one way or another.
Might I suggest that would be a great shorthand for people to use for either campaign. Short, punchy and alliterative - '... Today, The "Every Vote campaign" began a new phase of promoting voter registration to COUNTER voter suppression laws and help americans vote...'

Who else are we waiting for, votes- wise?

Who else are we waiting for, votes- wise? Nobody. There are 14 of us. I have 2 logins- admin & sjdorst-the second so I can view the site from the POV of a non-administrator. And I won't vote w/ both logins! I'm pondering how to proceed from here. Was hoping that there would be 2 clear leaders for a runoff, but 2nd place is a tie. Also, I fear a number of people didn't realize the could vote for two, which means the apparent winner might not be legitimately the winner! I'd like to drop the obvious loser, then do a runoff using Condorcet method, but that would necessitate that the rest of us are comfortable with that somewhat obscure (but elegant) method. Steve
